1/10/13 - First full day

The morning started off with Nik waking me up opening the door after messaging me saying the cats coming home. I haven't even fully recovered from the lack of sleep since the plane ride over. And I call it a ride because the second flight was just constant turbulence. That plane should be at the Gold Coast and we can name it the super happy fun plane ride and see how that works out as an attraction.

The other thing too is that I am sleeping on the floor. Not because Nik is an incompetent host, that's anything but the case, but because it's how it is. Traditionally there are mattresses you use to sleep on the floor so it's not a bad sleep at all. I got used to sleeping on the floor from Paris last year when I stayed with Liz and Nicola because we didn't want me being raped in the seedy and dangerous neighbourhood.

I asked to make sure I knew how the toilet worked with the bidet. Poor Nik just heard my screams. I swear it must have been funny for him but I couldn't handle it. Having water shot up in your shitter isn't my idea of a toilet experience. It's like the toilet is rebelling after you've just crapped in it.

He took me around town, as explained, Tokyo is a mega city so really anywhere is the city. It's something like Paris mixed with Melbourne. I saw a porn shop selling used panties which was interesting. We then saw some other messed up shit in the shop, massive dildos, weird vagina things, heaps and heaps of weird sex toys. 

Then we saw these shops which was all under the railway and they're exactly what you think about with Japan. Just flashing lights loud music and strange shit very where. So we carried on and found a shoe shop, got high top vans shoes for $65. Insane.
